Ruminations on the dance form of Bharatanatyam through the perspective of a guru-disciple relationship. The film encapsulates the difficulty of translating emotions and story into embodied gestures. Through her ability to find humour in the processes of choreography, the disciple, Revati realises a radical fluidity and ‘improvisability’ in an art form largely considered rigid and sterile in its approach.
